Build Up Omaha

Civic Nebraska’s annual Build Up Omaha event is coming up next Thursday, January 24th. This year’s event is being hosted at the Livestock Exchange Ballroom (4920 South 30th Street) from 5pm to 7pm.

Build Up Omaha is a celebration and recognition of community leaders and young Nebraskans working to build a strong civil and civic society. This Year’s honorees include five adults and four youth who have demonstrated exceptional civic leadership and who embody Civic Nebraska’s vision of a modern and robust democracy. (See the honorees here.)

The event will also feature a keynote address from Shawn Healy, Director of Democracy Programs at the Robert R. McCormick Foundation in Chicago.
