Host a Visioning Workshop This Winter

host a visioning workshop this winter – we can help

Neighborhood groups are a lot like animals who hibernate – many of them take a hiatus when the temperatures drop to recharge their batteries so they’re ready to spring to life come March or April.

If you’re interested in an alternative, here’s an idea for you: host a ONE Omaha visioning workshop this winter. The workshops, led by yours truly, will help your group identify community assets, reach consensus on projects to pursue, build new committees and create strategic action plans. They build on your group’s existing strengths so you can address neighborhood challenges with community-led solutions.

The Benson Neighborhood Association (BNA) – one of the city’s oldest neighborhood groups – recently hosted a visioning workshop and found the experience to be time well spent. “ONE Omaha’s visioning workshop allowed us to look at all the great people and organizations we have in Benson and how we can bring those residents and organizations together to make a collective impact in our neighborhood,” said Ryan Morrissey, BNA secretary. “I’m very excited for the future projects and strategies that will come from it.”

If your group is interesting in hosting a visioning workshop this winter, contact me at – we’d love to work with you. I’ll bring the hot chocolate!
