North Omaha Citizens’ Academy

The next Citizens’ Academy will be held at the Metropolitan Community College Fort Omaha Campus over two Saturday mornings, January 12th and 26th. Each day will feature three sessions, each with three panelists working or have experience working on that topic, specifically in North Omaha. The six sessions will be Local Government & Advocacy, Transportation, Planning & Development, Housing, Education, and Community Health. The Citizens’ Academy is free to attend and open to all. Both days will include free breakfast and lunch, and childcare will be available, including a guest civics presentation designed for youth participation. Registration info can be found here.
