Just a reminder, we are still scheduling neighborhood visioning sessions for the Omaha Neighborhood Grants Program. See info below.

One Omaha is excited to again be partnering with the Omaha Community Foundation and the Peter Kiewit Foundation on the upcoming Omaha Neighborhood Grants Program. The mission of this grant program is support and engage residents throughout Omaha on collaborative, neighbor-led projects that benefit and strengthen the neighborhood and broader community.

We are now scheduling neighborhood visioning sessions with groups who would like to develop a project for this grant opportunity.

Visioning sessions are a great way to bring neighbors in and out of you network together and involve them in building something with your group that makes your neighborhood a better place. Visioning can also help you engage and identify new members, volunteers, and future leaders.

One Omaha will assist with finding times an locations for the session if needed. We will also help you promote the session to your neighbors.

These sessions generally take about an hour and a half and include asset mapping, ideation, and consensus building. Our ultimate goal is to help you develop comprehensive, impactful projects that are designed by, implemented by, and impactful to as many of your neighbors as possible.

After the session, our staff will be available to help you work out the details and further develop your project to be ready for the grant application.

The grant application will open in January with applications due in March. Applications up to $5000 will be accepted.

I you would like to host a visioning session in your neighborhood, you can register here.
